Gives me all I was looking for except: the ear plugs are terrible - very difficult to insert and keep in ear, because of the loop that goes over the ear. Eliminate the loop, as I see featured in most portable type audio electronics.
Yet, with the simple and straight-forward convience, there are a few disadvantages. But, there are those who still want to own a simple portable CD Player, and Sony has known that for years, and they still know how to make that quality alive for anyone whom wants to enjoy a great CD Player. If you have previously owned a CD Player, and are looking for a new one, this would still be a great place to start.Price: B+Convience: BBattery Life: C+Quality: B 1/2-Overall: B 1/2- The CD's also play well with its simple and strong Anti-skip protection. It works great and runs on a simple 2 AA batteries. The first one is that there is a relatively short batter life. This would honestly be the only way for them to work on the player. All in all, there are still many people who do want great CD Players anyway, and Sony knows how to keep those media's alive and well.
It will not play your CD's if you have them in MP3 files, you'd have to convert them from MP3 or any other computer related file into the WAV files. I absolutely still recommend the D-FJ041 as a great buy for anyone whom has been loyal to Sony's products for all of these years. The player is simple and easy to use, is very inexpensive. While it is sad, there are those who are not buying CD Players anymore either, and instead choosing to trade in for MP3 Players that are easier to bring their music with them. For those who do want a good one, this is it.The Sony D-FJ041 is a simple and convient CD Player that delivers nothing but the basics for anyone whom wants to bring their favorite CD's from the past and present on the go. It also dounbles up nicely by including a simple AM / FM radio that works well.
Where as you used to have longer battery lives with many CD Players on the go, here this one has only about 15 hours of battery life. It is still a simple and convient CD Player that works well, and handles with the strongest of all electronics. When it does come down to it, we honestly though are sadly not seeing very many people still buying CD's anymore. It also handles great with CD's that you've burned on your computer, as well as CD's that you've made from MP3 music files. The second one is with the CD's that you'd have to burn from your home computer.
I would definitely purchase it again. It has worked just fine. I like this CD player. As it was refurbished it didn't come with directions, so I had to play around with it. The battery didn't last as long as I expected.
The only thing I did not like was that I had the same exact one before, and I paid less at the store than on Amazon.
I just put it away and dusted off my old banged up player to use. The radio reception is useless compared to the old Sony players. I have tried using it solely for the past few months. The small buttons are easy to hit and mess you up. I've had this player for a couple of months. Never really enjoyed using it. The cd player grinds, groans and stops playing (even with fresh batteries).
